The Everlasting Bridge Question.

So Patterson is saying that construction on the Signature Bridge will start by the end of the year. Why is he involved in this so much? because some eco-people are afraid of some fish and birds. They say that migratory birds will, en masse, fly into the towers or cables or supports of the bridge and die. The birds are so "used to" these flight patterns that they will not deviate from their trajectory. This caused federal involvement and the Bridge Authority, who has no power to do so, changed the plans from modern and inspiring bridge that just might class up the joint to some rinky dink rope bridge that would fit in an Indiana Jones movie. well, Patterson, Schumer and the rest of the tired people of this city said "fuck that". A.) birds are not that stupid, they will move out of the way, or a few will splatter and the rest will become accustomed to the landscape. B.) dickheads with absolutely no interest in the city or region of either country have to open their mouths about some fuckin fish! FISH! they swim under the bridge like have been for a million fuckin years. plus its only going to be Sheephead and other ugly fish. The moral is this. As we all know its been over a decade of debate and bullshitting over what the bridge will be. Will it be two bridges or one. Front Park area or kick a bunch of people out their houses. A Swiss architect or English. Finally someone just told them to quit being Nancies and just find something that will brighten this city. This city is amazing and unlike what people believe, it's on the rise and on the mend. Give us something to be proud of, something that will gleam over the horizon and say "hey! Canadians! welcome to motha fuckin Buffalo! enjoy our new and improved downtown business, shopping and eatery districts. Our lowered crime rate, maintained historic park and green land system, pretty damn good Universities and colleges and the general good natured people along the way." This is just one more small thing that just might make us a pretty good destination for business, young professionals, ANYONE! check the city stat website. You would be amazed at the infrastructure being built or ones that have been finished. To our pleasure, its pretty long. Now new buildings need residents. Check the wave of young people living in the newly renovated warehouses like the Elk Terminals, Artspace or any place on Linwood or Main. A bridge is a step that makes it all legit. This may sound foolish and uninformed, but this city was sleeping for a long time. Some shit is stirring and having a damn nice bridge would make it all seem like we are finally getting somewhere.

now go and enjoy some of the new places downtown, you would be very surprised how good they are.
